The Story
Shasta has had a hard life. He’s grown up as little more than a slave in a foreign land, and now he finds himself separated from his only friends and seemingly all alone in the fog. In despair, he says, “I do think…that I must be the most unfortunate boy that ever lived in the whole world.” A voice responds to him out of the fog—the voice of the great king and lion, Aslan, who is walking unseen beside him. He says, “Tell me your sorrows.”
From The Horse and His Boy by CS Lewis.
You know those times when you can’t see out of the hard circumstances that surround you, and you feel all alone? God is near. He is the redeemer of gloomy days and broken moments. He can bring beauty out of ashes. He will walk with you through the fog.
