The Story

Each person’s life is a peculiar story—I think of it as a fantastical flight. We’re all traveling through space on this beautiful, blue-green world—millions of stories playing out, and intertwining every moment. Sometimes we may look too long at ourselves or our fellow travelers and begin to compare. Why is my path through the sky so full of twists and turns? Why is my neighbor zipping at top speed while I putter along? Comparison is a dangerous distraction, and we don’t have enough perspective to compare accurately anyway. Better to smile at the stars, and fix our gaze onward and upward.
