----------------------------------

Children's Harbor is a nonprofit with two locations: the Family Center in Birmingham, AL and the camp facility at Lake Martin, AL. Their programs provide children with serious illnesses and their families a place to be themselves—to have fun and relax—while also receiving no-cost services that make life a bit easier for the whole family.

*The Children’s Harbor Family Center at Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children offers patients and sibling activities as well as support through counseling care and educational resources at no charge.

Children's Harbor's Lake Martin Campus hosts camping services through partnering organizations, providing patients and families a place of rest and restoration. The entire campus is handicap accessible. For families, attending camp is a chance to expand their supportive community as well as connect with other camp families who understand the issues they are facing.

Art On The Lake 2017

I'm excited to be showing my work and supporting Children's Harbor this Memorial Day weekend on Lake Martin. It's a beautiful venue and I look forward to spending the weekend down there. I will bring new original paintings as well as prints, books and notecards. A portion of all sales will go back to Children's Harbor to support this great organization that is such a great encouragement to children with serious illnesses and their families.

About the Festival

Saturday, May 27, 2017
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Artists and their artwork and crafts will be available during show hours, lunch from one or more vendors and live entertainment.

Sunday, May 28, 2017
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Artists and their artwork and crafts will be available during show hours.

Located on the serene grounds of Children’s Harbor Chapel and Hank’s Cabin - against the lapping waves of Lake Martin, this year we celebrate the Art on the Lake's 12th festival year! Last year, 47 artisans presented fine arts and handmade crafts to a crowd of more than 5,000 people.

It's free to attend, but please consider making a purchase because a portion of all proceeds help support Children’s Harbor in continuing its mission to provide camp, counseling and support services to seriously ill children and their families.

Children's Harbor is on Lake Martin at Kowaliga, near Alexander City, Alabama. View on Google Maps. You can park free at Time Capsule Park and catch one of the continuous shuttles running to and from the festival.

"Brave Hearts" Five Woman Show

A Visual Art Show and celebration—focused on the beauty, value, impact, dreams, and voices of women.  The show features work by Amy Grimes, Sally Powell, Tricia Robinson, Melanie Morris & Gina Hurry.

The opening on 2/13 was last night and I enjoyed meeting so many people and talking about my new work. I have 7 pieces still available and on display at West Elm (Summit location) until 2/27. Drop by and have a look if you're in Birmingham. When you enter, there is a bedding display on the left and my art is hanging on the other side of that display background.
